Leader, synonymous to Imran Khan

Leader, a definition fit for one, Imran Khan. I have hardly seen anyone so sincere and committed to ones countrymen and country. One who fights with his will and words to save his nation and people. Despite his circumstances Imran Khan has truly shown his spirit of being a leader. After his horrific fall at a rally in Lahore, he lies injured in the ICU and yet address the masses. He asks them to come up and cast their vote to direct their destiny. He quotes the verse from the Quran “… Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves…” [13:11] to encourage them to come out take part in a New Pakistan. Have a say to change the future and the lives for their children to vote for PTI. For those who claim that he had to address the people or would have been overrun by disappointed supporters, no one lies injured, tired and out of shape in a hospital bed and address a nation. No one.

His views and words to empower the people and the nation sweep ones patriotism to raise him to a status of ones leader. His strength to answer back to seemingly pressure questions by the foreign media pulls up ones courage. His drive to move on forward and address the people with every ounce of energy is stupefying. He is indeed a leader, one who won us the World Cup, one who fought against odds to stand up SKH and give free treatment to the poor, one who has campaigned at successive rallies, one who has vowed to flip the coin and bring pride to our name.

Everyone has had their chance, it is now time for change. Time for the nation and not those who rule it. Imran Khan has given power to the people. That’s who a leader is, one among the people, a fighter on all fields, defending his nation. he has brought us victory in the past so what makes you think he won’t now? Vote for Imran Khan, vote for PTI. Imran Khan is a True Leader.

Image

What image do we see?

Who are we? What have we gotten ourselves into? What image do we see of ourselves in our reflection? Is the mirror shattered or still whole? Why are we a fallen pack and broken strength? Why are we at battle with ourselves?

What are we doing? For as long as I remember differences just pull us farther apart. Nations worldwide live together in harmony with their differences then why can’t we?

Why is ethnicity creating barriers? Why are innocent lives of many paying for death of one? Why do we insult and embarrass our own people in front of the world? Why don’t we listen to our people and defend them instead?

Pakistan. Make it OUR Pakistan

Hijab, Oppression and Women…

I had a conversation with a Tweeple in relation to wearing the Hijab. I shall post the dialogue and shall further state my point of view.

Conversation:

Me: People say Muslim women are oppressed because they are covered. You never know how safe and secure they feel… [1]

Him: Thats exactly why they say women are oppressed. Finding the feeling of safety by hiding ones self is called oppression!! [2]

Me: LOL say what? so walking around half naked is freedom? [3]

Him: first thing, let’s stick to the issue at hand! Having to hide to feel “protected” is being oppressed !! [4]

Me: Lets discuss this! i feel secure when im in an abaya and hijab when men dont gawk at me, when a women walks without protection men savor her every curve, they strip her of ANY respect she may have…as far as what oppression goes, u could at least google the definition [5]

Him: u shouldn’t feel the need to dress a certain way to feel protected. If you do, you’re oppressed! [6]

Me: u do realize what u r saying hold men responsible dont u? [7]

Him: Yes! Men are oppressing the women by not being “muslims” & keeping parda on their eyes, & forcing women to cover! [8]

This is my answer to his last tweet:

The former part of this tweet holds true but in a different context, the latter is preposterous! Women who understand the purpose and good of wearing the Hijab are never forced, they consider Hijab as a blessing. I’ll now talk about the former.

Men are not being Muslims you say, first off that is ill stated; they are not following the Islamic rules. HOW? It is not by forcing women to cover but by Staring! In Islam men are asked to LOWER THEIR GAZE. Not gawk at females or stare at them. And to be totally open and honest, men like staring at women’s bodies, I hope u don’t go and deny that. They visually strip women of respect when they stare with lust. If you go and say not all men are like that it is a fact that MOST men are. It is human NATURE to do so, thus we are asked to NOT look so that it doesn’t follow up to other sins.

THAT is the oppression; they stare and rip women of purity and modesty. The parda u talk about is liberalism, you should remove that curtain and realize the spiritual affects Islamic rulings have. In addition to that women ARE asked to cover up in Islam. You can find that in the Quran.

1.      Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. – Light [24:30] [9]

2.      And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband’s fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers or their brothers’ sons, or their sisters’ sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.- Light [24:31] [10]

3.      O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.- The Coalition [33:59] [11]

4.      Such elderly women as are past the prospect of marriage,- there is no blame on them if they lay aside their (outer) garments, provided they make not a wanton display of their beauty: but it is best for them to be modest: and Allah is One Who sees and knows all things. – Light [24:60] [12]

I would now like to state other relating thoughts. Why is it that when women cover themselves, their modesty and their respect do people think they are being oppressed? Why don’t they object against half naked women? Is it not offensive to their sights? Is it not immodesty and disrespect in plain view? How is that all acceptable? Is nudity freedom of expression?

If they say so then they should know that “Freedom Of Expression” ALSO includes the Freedom of wearing HIJAB!

Cannibals, How many are there Among us?

Recently the most shocking, repulsive and  unfathomable act was reported. Cannibalism in Pakistan.

Two brothers had been arrested on cannibalism. they had been digging up corpses and cooking human flesh into stew. Unbelievable isn’t it? WHO in their right minds would eat HUMAN FLESH?! NO ONE who is SANE would ever cut up a dead body and eat that human flesh, No body.

But wait are you sure? What if I say that you are one of them? Those people who would eat the flesh of a dead brother. You would definitely get enraged wouldn’t you? Start yelling at me or calling me names. But yo know what? I would still stnad by what I say. I’m sure you would want to know why I blame you of such a heinous act. So I shall tell you…

The truth is that people commit the crime of eat their dead brothers flesh almost everyday. How you ask? By backbiting and slandering. Backbiting and slandering are among the greatest of sins. They have been forbidden and equal to cannibalism. It has been clearly stated in the Quran.

O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, in deeds some suspicions are sins. And spy not neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear God, verily, God is the one who accepts repentance, Most Merciful. (49: 12)

Those of you who do not consider it a great sin, or do not realize it as a great sin, ALLAAH has warned you for your inifference towards it

Behold, you received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things which you had no knowledge; and you thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of God (24: 15)

Those people who dont backbite or slander BUT are there in the company of those who do. You are asked to speak up against it! for silence is the lowest form of Emaan

And why did you not, when you heard it, say? “It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to God, this is a most serious slander” (24:16)

Backbiting and Slander are Shaitan’s works. He wants you to use your tongue for the worst and to create misunderstandings and conflicts. Beware of him because he is your avowed enemy.

Say to My servants that they should only say those things that are best, for Satan does sow dissensions among them, for Satan is to man an avowed enemy. (17:53)

Here is the definition of Backbiting and Slander in a Hadith…

Prophet Muhammad  said :”Do you know what backbiting is?” They said, “God and His Messenger know best.” He then said, “It is to say something about your brother that he would dislike.” Someone asked him, “But what if what I say is true?” The Messenger of God  said, “If what you say about him is true, you are backbiting him, but if it is not true then you have slandered him.” (Muslim)

So dear brother ans sisters be careful of what you say and how you speak. The act you consider revolting and heinous could also be among the acts you commit unknown. The Quran and Hadith speak the truth in all matters as we all believe being Muslims. We can not take th matter of backbiting and slander lightly. You may not realize the weight of that sin.You may not be able weigh your words or believe that which is spoken is lost. You are a fool to think such for no word ever leaves the room or vanishes and even if no one else heard, know that ALLAAH heard.

If people realize that they shouldnt backbite or slander and decide to hurt others on their faces then know that that too is wrong!

O ye who believe! let not some men among you laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: it may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (Indeed) doing wrong. (Surah: Al-Hujurat Ayat: 11)

Defeat

I am a Pakistani and I am thankful to ALLAH for making me one. The recent cricket match between Pakistan and India has left us in despair and lamenting. The crushing loss has left us heart broken. I thought long about it and came to a few conclusions. I also spoke to my father and he had a lot of things to say too.

Before the match a lot of predictions were made. Tarot card readers made predictions, astrologers made predictions, parrots picked out envelops with future predictions and etc. All those predictions said that Pakistan will not only win the match against India it will also win the Cricket World Cup. Our entire nation was rejoicing unconsciously on the win. I for one Alhamdulillah believed that we will win due to the wonderful former performances.

When I was thinking about our loss I thought IF Pakistan would have won, all those predictions would have been poven true! IF thatw ould have happened then those people who chose to listen and unconsiouly believe and hoped would have had their beliefs strengthened. Those who didnt would have begun trusting those predictions. THAT would have been destructive! Being Muslims we all believe that only ALLAH has knowledge of the unseen and unknown. NO ONE can tell what wil happen in the future. Those who claim someone who does or BELIEVE those who say they do commit the unforgivable sin “SHIRK” Shirk means relating someone to ALLAH’s entity or saying someone had such qualities as ALLAH. Knowing the unknown and unseen equals to Shirk. Thus I concluded that Pakistan’s loss saved our faith. ALLAH frbid if we had won, our nation would have become more corrupt than it alreadsy is. So despite wishing that my country would have won, I am happy ALHAMDULILLAH that we lost. Nothign beats faith and the strength of faith.

When I spoke to my dad he had another perspective. As we all know Indians are very hateful towards Pakistanis. And they become very aggressive with their hate. That is why the security of Pakistanis was important. IF Pakistan had won, the Pakistanis who were there to watch the match would have been in danger of losing their lives. The Indians were already becoming rash and rude and yelling profanities at the Pakistani spectators in the stadium ALLAH knows what else could have happened. So in a way ALLAH saved the lives of many.

My father then related a verse of the Quran which I will now post. He told me that it took place in our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ‘s time. The Romans and Persians were at war. The Persians were non believers where as The Romans were Christians thus being closer to Muslims. The Muslims in Madina wished for them to win the battle whereas the non believers in Makkah wanted The Persians to win. The Persians emerged victorious. The Muslims were sad. That is when ALALH sent down the following verses.

“The Roman Empire has been defeated- “ – The Holy Quran [30:2]

“In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious-“ – The Holy Quran [30:3]

And so The next battle that was fought between The Romans and Persia, The Romans emerged victorious! 🙂

So do not lose hope, everything has a reason best known by ALLAH. Everythign is always for the best. Believe in that, Believe in your faith, Beileve in what you say that ALLAH is The One and Only, The All Knower and All Hearer. HE knows all that is hidden and unknown. ALLAH is the Only One who knows the unknown and unseen. 🙂

Hope this helps you to handle defeat and give you hope. InshALLAH ALLAH will grant us victory next time, inshALLAH!

Tunisia’s Domino Effect

So the Arab world is finding its voice. The masses are speaking up. They are overthrowing leaders that have ruled for decades without a cent of a good outcome. Leader who have been there for their own advantages rather than their peoples’. It began with Tunisia and went on to Egypt. Now Libya and Bahrain are tipping their Dominoes, and I’ve heard a Non-Arab country is attempting to do so too, Morocco I think.

But will you stop to think a while. The two countries that overthrew their leaders are now sitting WITHOUT a regime, without a leader. When you were planning, you should have at least gone through with deciding who you want to overtake. Now the countries sit vulnerable more than ever without a leader. It is dangerous. If they don’t get their act in place, I’m afraid of a massive takeover.

It is good to speak up and let your sentiments be known

But you should follow through and thoroughly and reap the seed you’ve sown.

Salman Taseer Assasination

I know it is old news now. I just wanted to transfer the argument/discussions I had over from my tumblr < http://www.mariayousuf.tumblr.com > over here since this blog caters to such genre of writing .

The man who Shot Salman Taseermehreenkasana:Aamir Qureshi/AFP-Getty Images

This is the man who killed Salmaan Taseer. Today thousands hail him as a hero. Soon they’ll realize how hideously wrong they were. This isn’t Islam.

youdbetteroutrunmygun: This is sickening. I’m ashamed of being a Pakistani.

mubashir-:

As long as Pakistanis say they are Muslims first and thenPakistanis, this country will get nowhere.

And I am pretty sure that Muhammad(PBUH) would not kill someone who spoke against him. Why would you do this if you call yourself a Muslims and you want to follow your prophet’s teachings?

teemafbaby: What Mubashir said.

thecrazyjogger:

What he did was wrong. One should not take the law into ones hand

But if the actions of one person who happens to share the same nationality as you does something like this, and you say you’re ashamed of being a Pakistani.. then something is wrong with you.

Me:

Pakistan was founded on Islam, Islam is the identity of our country, Islam is the identity of humanity…you can save a guys ass who went and spoke ill about ALLAH and Muhammad (PBUH) but u wont stand up with the one who followed through with ALLAH’s law…what he did was right, who ever would have done it would have been right! if u say he shouldn’t have taken the law in his own hands is true to a point, would u have condemned if the same act would have been done through someone else’s hands, may it been by the govt or whoever? and we all know that NO ONE would have followed through, the Pakistani govt is biased and is Partial for its partners, may they be criminals…If say Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) wouldn’t have done such and such then you should know Prophets are highly honorable and forgiving people, no one can be compared to them! and even in Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s era, the law of ALLAH was followed upon! Usman Ghani chopped the heads of those who were defiant…Death was Salman Taseer’s fate, may it be today or tomorrow that was his fate. Salman Taseer has died, ALLAH knows if he died a muslim, i wonder how he is faring in his grave, but then again only ALLAH knows….concurring with wrong acts makes u an equal sinner so watch out for what you say…

And to the one who said “As long as Pakistanis say they are Muslims first and then Pakistanis, this country will get nowhere.” you need help. Islam has the best laws, its has rights for everyone and FYI it also has DEMOCRACY! Leaders of each tribe(in past days) were asked to gather opinons from their people and present them, same concept! YOU are going to get nowhere if your identity is defined by the geographic boundaries on the globe, defined by locations on this planet in this life which infact is finite and short. Islam is the identity of humanity, identity of your demeanor, identity of your character. It molds you to be pure. Islam is the best religion and if we be a Muslim country ALL our troubles can go away. a small emphasis, the core of most of our problems, the leading parties taking advantage of their positions and are unjust with Pakistan’s treasury seeking advantages only for themselves and less for the country and for country men…if they follow Islam they would never be unfaithful to the liability they hold, because wrong acts of gaining advantage without lawful reasons are sinful in Islam and are forbidden

Call me a fundamentalist if u please but FYI NO ONE can wholly be part of a belief or faith if they do not follow its fundamentals!

If u are itching to reblog n ans make sure u drop it in my ask box…id like to read 🙂

———————————

thecrazyjogger asked: “killing one human is like killing humanity” that also applies here. The road to chaos is when everyone takes the law in his/her own hands. What he did was wrong, one does no go and kill. The basis of the whole drama shit is wrong. The villagers who started this bull were wrong.
From my reading, he heavily criticized the law, not the Prophet PBUH. In matters like this, we should look at the source and not at the biased media who will do nothing but fuel the flames of anger n make more trouble.

Pak justice sys is shit. But one still doesnt take law into his/her own hands

This is a good read btw http://goo.gl/Zdkqj

http://goo.gl/Zdkqj

Killing innocent is killing humanity…this man was NOT innocent…talking ill about Islamic laws is NOT by far INNOCENT…I can NOT believe you would sit by hearing a man or woman talk ill about our Messenger (PBUH) and ALLAH’s laws! i know i wouldnt!

you say not to look at the biased media whereas your perspective is formed upon READING those media based opinions…all of us are exposed to everythign THROUGH the media but none of our opinions are influenced by them…these are MY thoughts and opinions

none of us know the truth, people claim one thing whereas others claim something else, i have read about assia bibi, her innocence is unproven, assia bibi may be truthful or not, no one knows!…but Salman Taseer’s words are noted and circulated, those are his words and he has said gruesome things. NO ONE HAS A RIGHT to speak such! NO ONE!

FYI one of his offspring is an atheist, that clarifies his strength of his faith! its weak!

This is the end to it all

Surah Maidah verse number 33

http://www.pakquran.com/quran-english.asp?surah=5&ayat=35&translator=1
